HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
2012
and happy chinese new year for those on the lunar calendar.
- Jan. 1, 2012 at the family inn…
the husband’s cousin is running the inn now, following in his father’s father’s father’s footsteps.
the cousin and his wife and our “little cousin” treat us so well while we are there…
- in the final phase… illustration…
sandwiched and basted and ready to be embellished.
i love the whole piecing process, but even more i love the embellishing…
- scraps added to the quilt top
i really like how this turned out…
you never know how it’s going to look until you try!!
- little tiny scraps on a little piece of batting…
just playing around with little bits of color….
abstract and fluffy!!
anyhoo… the new moon on the 23rd starts the beginning of the lunar new year…the year of the dragon!
ending on Feb. 6th with the full snow/hunger moon….
we are expecting snow next week….

enjoyed the family picture. Oldest son is taller than father and looks like daughter is taller than mother. Just a very nice picture.
I do enjoy seeing your projects. I have not been sewing as seems like I have other things to do but maybe one of these days.

hey mom!!… nope he is not quite as tall as his dad and she is not quite as tall as her mother, but it won’t be long!!! pretty soon i will be the smallest one in the family, imagine that!!!
