We celebrated the winter solstice with a citron in our bath.  Kids on vacation since the 24th and it’s a cold cold week in Nagasaki.  I am stitching on the moon quilt by day and snuggling under it by night.

From all of us here to all of you there, hope your christmas is MERRY and that your new year is GREAT!!!!!

Love, Jan.

Merry Christmas to all from wet, cold and lots and lots of snow Washington. Girls have played outside so much today, they say we can have rain tomorrow. We have a very large pile of snow in the driveway and so good for sliding. I borrowed two sleds from neighbors and girls having a ball. Paper box and mailbox snowed in and no mail for two days. Oh well, at least we did have a very white and beautiful Christmas. Did make it to Church on Christmas eve but wondered about it all. Father and I in the truck with chains on and Stuart in his rental car driving very slow. Good evening but bad weather. Love to all Grandma H.
